Our Pricing.
Transparent pricing for WordPress development.
With any web development, it can be tricky to put a price on something unless it’s fully scoped.
However, because we’ve been working with WordPress for so long and across so many different sites, we’re able to provide some ball-park figures for common requests and additions to our core theme framework.
As our sites are bespoke, we can get them to do anything that you need, but we’ll need a full brief for that.
Below are indicative charges for common requests.
Up front and subscription option.
On-off upfront charges.
£699
These cover the setup, our costs, our theme fee, and up to 20 pages (you can add more) of content using our standard blocks (all of which will be branded to your small business or organisation).
If you need more complex blocks or functionality, these can be added as extras.
All charges are plus VAT.
Monthly subscription.
£149
This is a monthly fee for the site and includes:
- Monthly theme, plugin and WordPress updates
- Hosting (3GB storage) & SSL certificate
- Subscription fees start when the site goes live
- 12-month initial contract
- Subscription fees are reduced to £99 per month after 12 months
Subscription only option.
Subscription only.
£199
If you would prefer not to have the upfront charge, you can simply go on a subscription only package. Note that this charge starts on the day we start the project and runs for a minimum of 12 months and continues as long as you continue to use the website. Hosting and updates are included in this plan.
What are upfront charges?
These cover the build of your site, limited customisation of content blocks into your brand style and the creation and content population for up to 20 pages of content.
You will get an on-brand and feature-rich website built on our bespoke WordPress theme to give you a fully-functioning site that is 100% editable by your team.
What are subscription charges?
The monthly subscription covers hosting, updates to WordPress and plugins, and 40 minutes of support per month so that we can help you with anything on the site.
You can use this time for development work, design, copywriting, on-page SEO or any of the services we offer as a full-service design agency.
You get a professionally built WordPress site on a custom-built theme that will serve you for years.
We’re not in the business of building crap websites; your new site will be fast and ready for you to dive into content marketing, improving your rankings and adding more content.
What’s more, it creates a flexible and scalable site that can develop over time – if you need custom work in the future, it can be added; if you want to add WooCommerce in 12 months, it’s not a problem!
Our subscription model means your site is always looked after.
A subscription model reduces upfront costs and means your hosting, updates and support requests are all handled at an affordable monthly charge.
With time available for tweaks and changes, you will not be left in the lurch or wondering if there’s something you should be doing.
As part of your subscription, you can call us anytime to request tweaks, changes or help with anything website-related.
FAQs
Common questions and answers about our service and pricing.
How does the subscription work?
The subscription payment is a monthly charge that includes your hosting and 40 minutes of time each month for help with your site, WordPress updates and whatever else you might need.
Who do we build sites for?
Webworthy is primarily aimed at the Third Sector; so Charities, Non-profits and NGOs for example, but we can build a site for any business that needs a great site on a small budget.
How long does the subscription last?
The subscription is charged monthly as long as the site is live. If you cancel your subscription, your site will go offline.
What happens if I cancel my subscription?
We will first check that it has not been cancelled in error; if it hasn’t, your site will go offline at the end of the month you’ve paid for.
Can I move my site to my servers?
No, as part of the subscription, the site is hosted on our WP Engine servers and must stay there as part of the subscription agreement.
Do I own my website?
After a two-year subscription period, the site is yours to do as you wish. If you wish to take over the ownership of your site sooner, you can simply settle any outstanding subscription term charges and it’s all yours.
Can I clone your theme?
No, while WordPress may be open source, the theme is not; it’s our property, so you are not allowed to clone, share, or distribute it without our express written permission.
Is my site limited in size or functionality?
Nope. You can add as many pages and content as you like to your site (subject to your initial 3GB storage limit on the server). If you want to add extra functions later on, this is no problem – the theme is designed to allow anything to be added to it.
Can I add plugins to the site?
Sure, if you want to do this yourself, you can add extra plugins to the site, we do recommend you check with us first as no all plugins play nicely together.
Do we offer discounts?
We offer a 10% discount if you pay annually for your subscription.
Can we help with SEO?
Yes, if you want additional SEO help, we can propose a monthly SEO plan. We can do the lot or provide help only where it’s needed.
